Is it possible to brand an entire era? Sure it is and it is done all the time. What about Ronald Regan's "Greatest Generation" speech? It stuck and people still say that those who lived thru WWII were the greatest generation and yet in studying all this I am rather pleased with this current generation, which has been branded the Baby Boomers or ME Generation? But these are generations what about Eras?
Well consider if you will the Renaissance Era, Golden Era, Dark Ages and Midlevel Period? Those are all branded Eras? What about today we have the Computer Age, Age of Enlightenment and future singularity coined by futurist Ray Kurzweil.
We need to Brand this Era too. But the Era of International Terrorism, does not seem to properly describe it. The Era of Political Correctness is not too much of a good idea either. We need something more and one thing we all know about branding is that if you fail to develop a brand then someone else will do it for you. And I am not so sure I trust the next generation to call us names and miss-brand this era. Please consider all this in 2006.
